Rebecca Park is a highly accomplished flutist and esteemed
private teacher based in the Bay Area, dedicated to nurturing the next generation of
musicians.
With a proven track record of success, her students have placed in prestigious competitions
such as the Golden Classical Music Competition, San Francisco International Innovative Open
Music Competition, London International Music Competition, World Open Music Competition,
Silicon Valley Music Competition, Great Composers Competition, CWCC Solo/Ensemble Music
Competition, and Charleston International Music Competition.
Rebecca has also played a pivotal role in preparing students for auditions, leading them to
join ensembles like the Golden State Youth Orchestra, California Youth Symphony, California
Philharmonic Youth Orchestra, Hope Box Orchestra, and San Jose Youth Symphony. Her students
have also performed at New York’s Carnegie Hall, showcasing
a high level of artistry.
Throughout her own musical career, Rebecca has demonstrated exceptional talent and dedication
through active participation in numerous competitions, ensembles, and performances.
Rebecca’s journey as a competitor began when she emerged as one of the seven finalists
at the prestigious Music Teachers National Association (MTNA)
competition held in the Senior Category. Following this achievement, Rebecca has secured
placements in a total of eleven international competitions including the YoungArts Foundation
Competition, the Great Composers Competition, Salzburg Grand Prize Virtuoso Competition,
Enkor International Competition, Salut International Competition in Italy, and most recently,
the National Flute Association Masterclass Competition.
Rebecca has performed on Carnegie Hall’s renowned stage
three times — her first flute-piano collaboration in the hall at the age of fifteen.
She has also performed at London’s St. James’ Church as part of the featured
trio in the KCC UK and Hungary Concert. She has refined her artistry through participation
in masterclasses led by distinguished artists such as
William Bennett,
Emily Beynon,
Lorna McGhee,
Jim Walker, and
Leone Buyse.
Rebecca pursued her Master of Performance degree at the Royal College of Music
— QS-ranked № 1 University in Performing Arts — under acclaimed flute
professors Gitte Marcusson, Adam Walker,
Stewart McIlwham, and Dimis Demetriades.
She earned her Bachelor of Music at the Royal Academy of Music
under Kate Hill and Helen Keen,
and has studied privately with Dr. Nancy Andrew.
